We offer particular and extensive experience in the research, design and development of National Occupational Standards, vocational qualifications, assessment strategies, assessment systems and related areas.

Helen has a wide commercial background in the private, public service and manufacturing sectors.

She also has extensive experience within the learning and skills sector.

She has comprehensive project management, national occupational standards, NVQ/SVQ development, assessment system design and implementation skills and experience.

During the last 11 years, Helen has undertaken many major standards and qualification review and redevelopment projects , including the production of supporting materials. Helen is an enthusiastic and skilled trainer and designer of learning with a particular interest in accelerated learning techniques. She possesses EU project consultancy knowledge and experience.

Alan Ross
Associate Consultant: Data Capture

Alan Ross is a qualified textile technologist with over 20 years experience in Quality Assurance within both laboratory and manufacturing environments.

Alan is a qualified lead auditor for ISO 9000:2000 Quality Management systems and for Social Systems compliance. In addition, he is a Technical Expert for UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) in the accreditation of textile laboratories against ISO 17025:2005.

Throughout the last 20 years, Alan has developed computer software to collect, process and analyse data within a laboratory environment using a variety of techniques including spreadsheets, databases and original software codes (BASIC, FORTRAN, Visual Basic).

Alan brings this expertise to Helen France Associates by the provision of data capture systems to give instantaneous analysis and reporting of data acquired from numerous industry consultation and research projects.

Sally Barber
